Here is pic of a real Bosendorfer plate of a grand piano listed on eBay notice the similarities. The third pic down is a real Bosendorfer grand piano plate notice the similarities. Here is a pic of the one I owned for a while, and you can see the big sound holes in the plate. Personally, I think the earlier Viennese models may well not have had the Viennese logo on the fallboard like the later models, but that is just speculation. Plus, the style/design of the plate itself resembled some of the Bosendorfer model grand pianos. But it was hard to argue with those huge, Bosendorfer style sound holes in the cast iron plate. But the one I had did not have the Viennese logo on the fallboard either. But apparently they made a smaller model, at 5' or so?Īnyway, I once owned one of the 5'8" Viennese models, and liked it a lot. I was always under the impression that they only made the Viennese models in the 5'8" model or the 6'7" model. There was another thread here on the piano forum not long ago about the Kimball Viennese model grand pianos.
